Located on a beautiful 30-acre site, set in a rural location, yet just a short journey from the city centres of Sunderland, Newcastle and Durham, Stoneygate Lodges make an ideal base for touring Durham and Northumberland.
The site itself is established alongside the famous footpath, known as the 'George Stephenson Trail' and is ideal for bird watching and getting back to nature. It's also within a short journey of many National Trust and British Heritage sites and ideally situated to visit Hadrian's Wall, Alnwick Castle/Gardens, Holy Island, Bowes Museum, Durham Cathedral, the Angel of the North, Beamish Museum etc. For more modern pursuits both the Metro Shopping Centre & Eldon Square are 20 minutes away.
